    Gazelle Sports is a certified Benefit Corporation. That means we’ve committed to using our business as a force for good.

    We pursue a triple bottom line, measuring our success not only in profits generated, but also in the positive social and environmental impacts we have on our community. Our focus is on the three P’s, people, planet and lastly, profits.

    We also partner with responsible companies that are focused on making a difference. Here's more about what they're doing:

    ADIDAS:

    • Adidas is recognized on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index and, in 2015, Adidas was ranked third on an index of Global 100 most sustainable corporations in the world.
    • By 2018, Adidas aims to source 100% sustainable cotton.
    • Adidas has terminated relationships with suppliers who do not meet environmental, safety and human rights compliance.

     

    ASICS:

    • Asics donated $692,160 to community organizations from 2013-2014.

     

    BROOKS:

    • Brooks’ headquarters in Seattle, WA, are LEED Platinum certified, which means it uses 75% less energy than a typical building.
    • Brooks is a member of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition and, in 2014, became a Bluesign System partner as a way to enhance transparency and improve the sustainability of its apparel supply chain.
    • In the last two years, Brooks has donated over $1 million through their Run B’cause program, which supports organizations that promote healthy, active lifestyles in their communities.

     

    CLIF:

    • By the end of 2015, Clif aims to be 90% Zero Waste at corporate headquarters, field events and facilities that make their food.

    • Clif headquarters are LEED Platinum certified, and their office fleet and marketing trucks run on biodiesel.

     

    FEETURES:

    • Feetures is a Friend of the Forest, which means a portion of each sale is donated to The National Forest Foundation.
    • Feetures uses eco-friendly packaging which is composed of recycled paper and uses soy-based inks.

     

    KEEN:

    • Through the Hybrid.Care giving program, Keen works with non-profit partners to make a difference in the places outdoor enthusiasts love now and for future generations.

     

    NEW BALANCE:

    • New Balance is the only major shoe manufacturing company still making shoes in the US - they’ve now made or assembled more than 4 million pairs in the USA.
    • New Balance is a founding member of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition and a participating company and board member of the Fair Labor Association.

     

    NIKE:

    • 88% of Nike apparel contains at least 5% organic cotton.
    • In the last 5 years, Nike has recycled 2 billion water bottles, turning them into material.
    • Nike donated $95.5 million in community contributions in 2013.

     

    PATAGONIA:

    • Patagonia sources 100% traceable down - a commitment that promises their down will come from responsible and humane farms.
    • Patagonia is a certified B Corp, just like us! They’re committed to using their business as a force for good.
    • Patagonia has a 1% for the Planet policy - 1% of profits each year are donated to environmentally-focused organizations working to keep our planet healthy.

     

    PRANA:

    • Prana manufactures at least 20% of its products in the USA.

     

    SMARTWOOL:

    • All Smartwool products are made in the US with the finest merino wool.
    • Smartwool, like us,  supports Girls on the Run, a non-profit program that encourages girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running.

     

    THE NORTH FACE:

    • The North Face’s headquarters is 100% powered by on-site solar and wind sources.
    • The down used in The North Face’s products is responsible down certified, meaning it comes from sources that are committed to being humane and cruelty-free.

    TOAD&Co:

    • Every unit of Toad&Co clothing is picked, packed, and shipped with unmatched enthusiasm by the PAC work crew. PAC is a life-skills training group that provides adults with developmental disabilities with training and work opportunities.
