JBR is named after “Indian Joe” Cizausas who was a kind neighbor to Camp Roger and a true keeper of the land.  The race started out as an idea for big fun but has become an integral part of bringing children to camp.     In a fast-paced, hour-long event, teams of Eight- through Fourteen-year-olds will find 20 checkpoints and solve five challenges in various locations within the nearly 80-acre Whistlestop Park.  Checkpoints will be marked with colored flags.  Challenges will include age-appropriate physical and mental games and tests which require teamwork.  Racers will compete with those of similar ages to win prizes.  An After-Race Bash will help all Racers celebrate the fun!

    Part bike race, part running race and part Amazing Race, the ArtPrize Edition weaves its way through the largest public art competition in the world. You and your teammate will head out from Ah-Nab-Awen Park on bike and on foot to find checkpoints pre-marked on a map. You’ll encounter Amazing Race-like challenges, many involving some aspect of art and ArtPrize, in popular downtown exhibits and beautiful green spaces beyond. Includes tech shirt and pizza lunch.
