Here at Gazelle Sports, we believe in supporting the health and wellness of our communities, our staff and our customers.
We are keeping a very close eye on the evolving situation around the novel coronavirus COVID-19. We plan to follow the recommendations of state and local health officials- including guidance on event timing and attendee numbers. Here are our most recent updates:
Beginners Run Program: We stand by our belief that Movement can change your life. With running being one of the things we can do (with safe social distancing!) we invite you to join us to run, or begin to run again with our beginner's run program.
Gazelle Sports Store Locations:
Gazelle Sports Friends and Family,
We have made the decision to temporarily close our Gazelle Sports locations, New Balance Grand Rapids, Lole Grand Rapids and our walk-in service for Team Gazelle at our Distribution Center, due to the growing spread of COVID-19.
The last several days have been hard for all of us, but we feel strongly that during the most challenging times we must lean into our values and take care of our families, our staff, our customers and our community.
We want to encourage you to continue to get out and move. Fresh air and movement are not only good for our bodies, but our minds as well. We will remain a resource for you in this effort by providing tips, digital running guides and a platform to celebrate your journey.
During this time, we also will be offering free shipping and returns on all orders on GazelleSports.com. We invite you to connect with us on social media, because although we may not be able to gather to run, walk and sweat together, we can still connect and share with our community in a way that will continue to sustain us all.
We also want to encourage you to support the small, local businesses that add connection, fun and community to our towns and neighborhoods. We are in this together, and the more we can support each other, the better off we will all be in weeks, months and years ahead.
Gazelle Sports Run Camp:
In line with the State of Michigan’s recommendation, and in response to the concern from our run camp community, effective immediately, we are suspending in-person meet ups for all Run Camps through March 31. All informational emails, discounts, and training schedules will still be communicated via email and the Facebook discussion group, along with recommended routes for individuals. No refunds will be issued. In person meet ups are scheduled to resume on April 1, provided it is deemed safe by health officials to do so.
Groups Runs/In Store Events (Urban Herd, Dirty Herd, Good Form Running, etc.)
All in-store group runs and events such as Urban Herd, Dirty Herd and Good Form Running will be suspended through March 31. Additionally, during this time, we will not be hosting any outside groups who scheduled to run from our store locations.
Gazelle Girl Half Marathon, 10k and 5k:
Gazelle Girl 2020 has been changed to a virtual event. Please see our update on the Gazelle Girl website.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate the uncertainty, and necessary precautions of this situation. We are fortunate to be a steward of the running community and take pride in holding that role with care.
