Join us for one of the most historic runs in Kalamazoo; this 35 year tradition is home to a 2.2 mile or 4.4 mile walk/run around Spring Valley Park. Finish in our big tent filled with food, music and fun! We’ll give away tons of prizes, and you may even win the coveted grand prize…Charlie Miller’s Chainsaw!
Running or walking are great activities that you can do on your own, but they are even more fun when you’re joined by family and friends. Our goal for the One One Run is always the same…get outside and start the year moving with family and friends while raising money for an important organization: Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kalamazoo.
Runners will start at 1 pm; walkers and those with strollers and dogs will start at 1:15 pm.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kalamazoo. We hope to raise $30,000 this year!
In order to provide a safe experience for all participants and volunteers, we have created a process for managing severe weather in conjunction with the One One Run. Weather forecasts are tracked before the event for snow, freezing/heavy rain, high winds and extreme cold. If there is a possibility of threatening weather, information will be posted here on the Gazelle Sports One One Run web site. The event will go on in light rain or snow.
The One One Run is going green and will be using a “digital packet”. All important race updates and sponsor offers will be sent to you via email.
Pick up your bib and shirt at Gazelle Sports (214 S. Kalamazoo Mall) on the following dates:
Friday, December 30 from 3 pm - 7 pm
Saturday, December 31 from 11 am – 2 pm
Late registration and bib/shirt pick up will be available at Spring Valley Park on race day: January 1 from 11:30 am – 12:45 pm
We can’t have a successful event without the help of wonderful volunteers. Several of the volunteer positions would allow for you to run in the event as well, so please consider volunteering!
Volunteers are needed in the following areas:
12:15 pm – 2 pm Course Marshal (8 volunteers)
12:30 pm – 2:30 pm Food/Beverages (6 volunteers)
2:30 pm – 4 pm Tear Down (unlimited)
The One One Run will be held at Spring Valley Park in Kalamazoo, MI.
