Meet Alyssa
I've been a part of the West Michigan running community since 2002. I started running in middle school, was a part of my high school cross country and track and field teams, and continued on to compete collegiately (focusing on the 3k steeplechase). I now coach high school runners and run a local run club every Monday night. When it comes to my own running, I am currently focusing on the half marathon and marathon distances. This weekend I am in Sacramento attempting to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Marathon Trials in Orlando.
Alyssa's Favorite Running Memory
1. Winning a state cross country title with the boys I coach this fall.2. Coming within 30 seconds of the 2024 Olympic Trials Marathon standard at the Ottawa marathon this past May.3. Earning NCAA All-American honors in the 3k steeplechase. 4. Winning back to back state cross country titles as a high schooler.
