Journey to Movement:
I was a runner in high school. Never very fast, but still a runner. After high school, it took 20 years before I decided to lace up again. My "baby" was in kindergarten and it was time to lose the weight that crept up through marriage and two young children. I started running on my own using an app on my phone. I was running by myself and really couldn't talk any of my friends into running with me. Running alone is difficult for many reasons. There is no one to push you and no one to hold you accountable. After about six months I decided to check out our local running group in Clarksville, TN. After running with the group for the first time, I was kicking myself for not joining them sooner. From day one, I felt welcome and part of the group.
What is your favorite way to relax?
My favorite way to relax is to curl up with a good book. I don't really have a favorite genre as long as it has an intriguing story line.
What's one food you could eat everyday?
I could eat Mexican food everyday...especially if avocado is involved.
