Journey to Movement:
I was a runner in high school. Never very fast, but still a runner. After high school, it took 20 years before I decided to lace up again. My "baby" was in kindergarten and it was time to lose the weight that crept up through marriage and two young children. I started running on my own using an app on my phone. I was running by myself and really couldn't talk any of my friends into running with me. Â Running alone is difficult for many reasons. There is no one to push you and no one to hold you accountable. After about six months I decided to check out our local running group in Clarksville, TN. After running with the group for the first time, I was kicking myself for not joining them sooner. From day one, I felt welcome and part of the group.

What is your favorite way to relax?Â
My favorite way to relax is to curl up with a good book. I don't really have a favorite genre as long as it has an intriguing story line.
What's one food you could eat everyday?
I could eat Mexican food everyday...especially if avocado is involved.
