I started running back in April 2017 when I started Weight Watchers and spinning at Cyclebar. My initial goal was to lose weight and run one mile without stopping. I didn’t realize how great of a crosstraining exercise spin was for runners.
Two months into that, I was able to do a demo run with Gazelle Sports and ran 2 miles without stopping :).
I signed up for my first half in Florida (Disney Princess Half) this February and was so happy that I crossed the finish line. I love that running is such a mental game because that is something I struggle with.
Living in MI, it was difficult to train for a half in a warmer climate when we were getting snow everyday. I had to force myself to get out when I maybe didn’t want to and I proved to myself that I could do it if I put my mind to it.
I am still new to running and am not the fastest, but I love the community I have met so far and Gazelle was very welcoming to me as well!
