Journey to Movement:
Sports have been my life since before I can remember. I played competitive travel softball since the age of 10. I started running when I needed to think about something. It helped me clear my head. I would never know how far or for how long I would run. Just ran for the opportunity to get away from the crazy college athlete life.
After softball was over, I needed to find a way to feed my competitive nature, so I signed up for my first half marathon. After that, I was hooked: signed up for my first Marathon. That’s a whole separate story for another time. Ran my first 25K, and many, many races after that. I’m always chasing the next finish line whether is running, triathlon, or adventure races. Movement is in my nature. It's part of my lifestyle and it makes me so much happier when I'm moving.
What is one thing people may not know about you?
I have a rather extensive Pez dispenser collection.
If you could have any superhero power, what would it be?
Teleportation. I have so many friends and family across the country it would be nice to teleport to whatever location in a timely fashion. Plus, think about how much cheaper destination races would be!
