Beckett enters the Elite Mile as Michigan’s voted Mr. Cross Country this past fall. Last spring, he delivered at the highest level prior by winning the MHSAA Division 1 State Championship in the 3200m, proving his case for a breakout mile this winter.

Jay brings quick-turnover firepower to this year's starting list, helping his squad earn WIAA D1 state runner-up finishes in cross country and track. This past spring he delivered on the track with individual state title wins in the 4x800 and open 800, showing dangerous speed and striving to find his range as he gets ready for the mile now.

Jonah Workman

Jonah comes from a championship program, highlighted by winning a D2 Team State Title in 2021 with East Grand Rapids. He’s also helped drive his team to a 2nd-place state performance this year, and was a part of one of the highest finishes in school history.
