I grew up in Portage, MI and then started my running career my junior year of high school on the Portage Northern Cross Country team. From there, I attended Kalamazoo College where I studied Biology (Pre-medicine), and ran on the cross country team from the fall of 2017-2021. During my collegiate career, I earned Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Athletics (MIAA) (Division III) Runner of the Week in 2018 and 2021, All-MIAA second team twice, MIAA Academic Honor Roll twice and All-Region honors. After graduating, I decided to try some post-collegiate road racing where I PR-ed in the 5k at 17:30, and completed my first marathon in 2:58:56. I look forward to continuing my running journey with Gazelle Sports!

Rachael’s 2024-2025 Performance Highlights: Despite battling a few injuries throughout 2024, Rachael ended the year on a very and improved high note with a marathon personal best of 2:57:32 at the Indianapolis Marathon, tallying off 1:24 off her previous best of 2:58:56. Earlier in the year, she showcased her fitness during her marathon buildup by winning the Traverse City Cherry Festival 15K.
